Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is now accepting submissions for the 41st annual William Carlos Williams poetry competition. I write today to solicit your help with advertising this opportunity to your students. We welcome submissions from medical students currently enrolled in schools of allopathic or osteopathic medicine located in the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada. Each year, the William Carlos Williams competition receives hundreds of entries, which are judged by the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State University. The top three prize-winning poems will receive a monetary award ($300, $200, and $100 for first, second, and third place, respectively) and will be considered for publication in the Journal of Medical Humanities. The winning poets are also invited to read their poetry alongside an esteemed guest and receive commendation in a formal awards ceremony at https://healthhumanitiesconsortium.com/conferences-2/2023-cleveland/.
