The Ohio State University College of Medicine has launched a working group with a subcommittee of our Faculty Council to look at ways to improve communication with our faculty. As part of that project, we are gathering insights from peers on how well information is conveyed with your faculty, the responsiveness of communication channels, and any challenges you've encountered.

Based on feedback from respondents, while email remains a prevalent tool for communication, its overuse has reduced its impact. This underscores the necessity for diversified communication strategies. Meetings, weekly newsletters and messages endorsed by leadership have proven to be more effective in engaging faculty. By leveraging these channels, the survey suggests institutions can enhance message visibility and improve overall communication effectiveness.
