We are excited to announce that the
2023 AAMC Healthcare Executive Diversity and Inclusion Certificate (HEDIC) Program application is now
open! There is an undeniable link between excellence and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the practice of medicine. To successfully advance DEI initiatives at your institution, you must possess enhanced skills in critical areas including leadership, strategic planning, and communication. Join us for the 2023 Healthcare Executive Diversity and Inclusion Certificate (HEDIC) Program to build these skills and more, while gaining unique insights into your role from chief diversity officers and other senior leaders in academic medicine with extensive past experiences and developing a lasting network of peers.
- Delivered over six months
- The program's curriculum combines distance learning and in-residence study with a focus on applied skills that will help you successfully implement DEI projects at your home institution.
Graduates of the certificate program will:
- Link diversity, equity, and inclusion directly to measurable goals of excellence at their institution.
- Learn to develop an organizational infrastructure focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues.
- Learn to collaborate with various leaders across all levels of the institution as a means to achieving diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Apply current research to the creation and execution of their institution's strategic plan for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Develop a project plan designed to drive excellence specifically tailored to their institution.
