Thanks to Fast Company (subscription may be required) for offering these simple suggestions for improving meetings:
• Make meetings more inclusive: ask participants to submit agenda items or ideas in advance and give them a spot on the agenda to speak
• Consider whether your meeting could be shorter. Or whether your meeting could, in fact, be an email.
• Try the "PAL" method, coined by author Claire Hughes Johnson:
Purpose: Determine the purpose of the meeting and make sure all participants understand it
Agenda: Share the topics to be covered in the meeting in service of that purpose
Limit: Set limits for how long the meeting and agenda items will take
Would you add any additional tips here? What is working (or not working) for your organization?
