We're back for another Tip Tuesday!
Today I wanted to take a moment to remind our nearly 6,000 virtual community network members of all the great things you have access to as a member of this network!
Most of you were probably invited into the network to participate in a specific community (like the Restorative Justice in Academic Medicine (RJAM) Program & Training, or to the Deans' Assistants Group (DAG)), or some of you may have heard about the AAMC Communities Network at Learn Serve Lead in Nashville last year and you've joined through this Open Forum in Academic Medicine space... so matter why (or how) you joined the network, you have access to this amazing community of people working across academic medicine - all in service of working toward better health for all!
Did you know.... these nearly 6,000 community members participate in 50 sub-communities in the network. Some of these spaces are closed to individuals who hold a certain role at their institution, participate in a specific program, or have purchased a product, but a number of these spaces are also topic-based and you have the opportunity to join the conversation. Communities you can opt-in to include:
Feel free to browse all communities and see which spaces you may be interested to join. If it's open to you, you'll see a red join button next to the community name.
Did you know.... you have access to curated resource bundles (and can work with us to enhance these bundles and build new ones). We've compiled resource bundles by topic to help you focus your learning. Explore the list of topics and come back to this page regularly to check for any new releases as more bundles will be added on an ongoing basis. Likewise, if you'd like to add a related resource, or have a suggestion for a new topic, please message or tag @Penny Schnarrs
And last, but not least, did you know.... we regularly spotlight community members via our Member Spotlight programming! Through the Community's Member Spotlight program, meet leaders, faculty, and individuals in academic medicine, get exclusive access to networking opportunities and participate in important national conversations about academic medicine. Some recently highlighted community members include @Tyrese Hinkins-Jones@Gary Norman@Catherine Mello@Nancy Hayes@Lisa Meeks@Katrina Elliott@Brooke Moore@Colin Daly@Brooke Moore@Katrina Elliott@Catherine Mello@Gary Norman@Tyrese Hinkins-Jones
Have questions about the community network? Let us know - just click "reply" on this thread. If you have a question, I bet someone else in the community does too!

Subject: Tip Tuesday: Getting the Most Out of the Community
Happy New Year, everyone! Can we even say that now that it's February, tomorrow??
We've had a lot of new folks join the community over the last few months and wanted to share some tips and tricks for using the virtual communities effectively.
First, hot off the presses, we have a few new videos for you to check out (and see our featured community champions, @Brooke Moore and @Carolyn Dufault).
We asked Brooke why she uses the community and she walks us through some great features:
Next, people often say "How does the virtual community really help me work?" Hear from Carolyn firsthand about a great win on collaborating with folks in the curriculum community:
Want some extra help? Watch out for more tips we'll share via #Tip-Tuesday posts, and also check out our Getting Started page which has some great information, short video tutorials, and instructions. Or brush up on your skills and meet other members of the community in our monthly Open Office Hours (happening this week on Feb. 2!).
