Sixty-six percent of employees have career regrets. And the vast majority are regrets about the actions they didn't take.
According to a recent survey from Resume Now, polling workers from US and Europe, the most common career regrets are: not asking for a raise (60%), not prioritizing work-life balance (59%), staying at a job too long (58%) and not negotiating salary when accepting a job (58%).
Action (versus inaction) produced fewer regrets. For example, while 58% of respondents regretting staying at a job too long, only 38% regretted quitting a job.
