A survey conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education and Huron found that 78 percent of leaders said their campus had received fewer applications for open jobs in the last year. The Chronicle is calling it a "staffing crisis" in higher ed. Retaining satisfied, engaged faculty is a challenge. It seems that recruiting new faculty and staff to higher education is especially difficult right now.
