Addressing the stigma of addiction
As part of ongoing efforts to support its members in advancing addiction education, the AAMC has collaborated with the National Institute on Drug Abuse to commission a systematic literature review of health care professionals’ bias and stigma related to substance use disorders. This webinar on January 17 presents the results of this commissioned review and updates on several national educational efforts to improve health care. Register Now

The AAMC has launched a webinar series looking at AI across the mission areas of medical education. The first webinar in the series is January 23. Register Now.
Improving maternal mental health outcomes
An AAMC virtual learning series, Improving Maternal Mental Health Outcomes: Varied Approaches to Closing the Gap of Care, highlights initiatives of academic medical centers and nonprofit organizations addressing the maternal mental health crisis. The final webinar of this series, “Screening and Treating Maternal Mental Health Conditions: Understanding and Utilizing the New Clinical Practice Guidelines from ACOG,” will be held on January 25. Speakers will discuss how they have interpreted and implemented the new maternal mental health screening and treatment guidelines from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) in their own practice and how other providers can utilize them to help their patients.
