“Where do we go from here?” Reflecting on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Academic Medicine

It’s time to change dialogue to action. 
Academic medicine and science are in a historic time of change. We find ourselves, and our institutions at an unprecedented intersection of need amidst the COVID-19 pandemic; and mitigating the impacts of systemic racism on health equity, our country, and in every layer of how medical schools and teaching hospitals function.

We recognize that this dialogue is not new. However, we do have an opportunity to leverage a new sense of urgency and priority across our community.
