Peer review is an essential element of scholarly publishing. A substantial number of the manuscripts submitted each year to the AAMC's 2 journals--Academic Medicine and MedEdPORTAL--undergo peer review, and the quality of the final publications published in each journal depends on the dedication and commitment of expert reviewers.
Academic Medicine
Academic Medicine is seeking peer reviewers whose experience and expertise align with the journal’s mission and focus. There is always a need for reviewers who are skilled in research methods (quantitative and/or qualitative) as well as literature review methods (systematic, narrative, scoping, etc.). More information about reviewing for Academic Medicine and resources for reviewers are available on academicmedicine.org.
MedEdPORTAL
MedEdPORTAL is seeking peer reviewers whose experience and expertise align with the journal’s mission and focus. There is always a need for reviewers who are skilled in curricular design and evaluation and/or who have expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion. More information about reviewing for MedEdPORTAL is available on mededportal.org.
Applications will be vetted and, if there is demonstrated alignment between your experience and expertise and the journal’s mission and focus, the editorial staff will reach out with further instructions.
